Neil Passingham, Director/Co-Founder of GardPass Cyber
Highly-experienced consultant/architect/auditor with a primary focus on Cyber and Cloud Security. Has nearly 30 years’ IT experience, in the UK and globally, across the life-cycle: business development, pre-sales, solution architecture, development, testing (including ethical hacking), implementation, security assessment/accreditations, metrics/KPIs and often acting as “trusted advisor” for clients.
In addition to promoting and working towards a more secure cyber world for businesses and consumers, Neil is a keen innovator and developer. He complements his involvement in GardPass with being a director of a Health Data Modelling start-up focused on enabling better use of open data for medical research.
He is passionate about trade justice and the plight of the developing world generally. He led local groups in the “Drop the Debt” and Fair Trade campaigns. He is now an advisor to a UK/Kenyan charity supporting HIV orphans (in East Africa) and inspiring teenagers to make a difference (in the UK).
In his spare time, Neil likes to travel, learn languages, play tennis (especially with his teenage son), run, cycle, climb mountains (occasionally), sing (most genres) and act in comic plays/musicals and concerts.
He is married with two teenage children and lives in rural Oxfordshire.
